Based on a baby photo from my own family, this painting challenged me to create a deeper understanding of shapes and forms.
As with any portraiture, I focus on creating an accurate likeness of the subjects, while experimenting with colors and textures with stylization.
Masque of the Fox Bride
A continuation of my Fox Bride Series- experimenting with collage elements within oil paintings.
Using collage elements developed my sense of balance within composition, and furthered my understanding of visual weight.

Commission Piece-
My first commissioned smaller scale mural, this piece built experience both with larger compositions, as well as working with deadlines and short time constraints. Working with a larger painting challenged my balance of positive and negative space.
I focused on creating dynamic subjects, creating movement throughout the mural.
