Artist Statement
Art is intrinsic to the human experience. My work is rooted in the belief that art should not be a privilege limited to those without financial struggle, but rather an innate part of being human. From as early as I can remember, creating art has been essential to my existence—a way to bring ideas into physical form and navigate the world. Growing up, I was deeply influenced by my father, a talented sculptor in both clay and digital mediums, and my mother, whose musical talents inspired my artistic perspective and the way I see the world around me.
I work across both three-dimensional and two-dimensional mediums, including clay, mixed media sculpture, ink illustration, oil painting, and watercolors. In my ceramic works, I blend painterly styles and drawing techniques with sculptural forms. My paintings, on the other hand, explore form, dimension, and personal themes, experimenting with how these elements can provoke thought and emotion. My ultimate goal is to create works that speak to people emotionally and bring up deep wells of emotion within the soul.
